What is Fostering?
Fostering a dog just means allowing the dog to stay in your home from the time it leaves the shelter until the time it finds a permanent home. The average Foster stay for our dogs is ONLY 2-3 weeks. In an attempt to keep your costs to a minimum, Peak Lab Rescue provides everything you need: crate, food, leash, collar, medical (as needed), etc. You provide love, patience and understanding.

When Peak Lab Rescue receives a dog, he/she goes directly to our Vet for a complete physical. Generally, Fosters pick up their dog in the evening at either VCA Apex or Peak City Veterinary Hospital. Fosters must live within 30 minutes of these locations.
