Meet Our Team:

Debbie, Founder and Director

Debbie started Peak Lab Rescue as a hobby in 2008. In her previous career as a Labor & Delivery Nurse, Debbie helped bring lots of human babies into the world. Now she uses her experience and medical knowledge to help Labs in need - Debbie is the reason Peak Labs receive the HIGHEST LEVEL of veterinary care available.

She still has a soft spot for pregnant mamas and itty-bitty newborns - now they just happen to have four legs instead of two! Debbie really loves these goofy, adoring dogs - especially Daisy and Goose, her very own Peak Labs.

Karen - Secretary / Treasurer

Peak Lab Rescue could not succeed without Karen's organizational skills. She handles all the medical records, microchips, adoption paperwork and financials. A busy mother of four (she has triplets!), Karen somehow finds time for Peak Lab Rescue as well as her Pet Sitting business, Dog Tails Pet Sitting.

Karen has one Peak Lab and one Shih-Tzu.

Wendy - Adoption Coordinator

Peak Lab Rescue has a very low rate of returned dogs, in no small part due to the efforts of Wendy. She processes all adoption applications. Sometimes this is easy. And sometimes it requires dogged determination and the patience of Job. Wendy has perfected both skills as a full-time CCR Teacher for WCPSS. She is the proud mom of two Peak Labs.

Kristine - Media Director

Facebook and PetFinder are important platforms of communication for Peak Lab Rescue, and Kristine keeps things running smoothly. She posts dogs for adoption and foster, promotes events, gathers information on dogs in shelters, and never forgets to throw in the occasional laugh. Kristine has two dogs of her own and is always willing to open her home to fosters.

If you want to get involved with Peak Lab Rescue, Facebook is the place to start.

Sharon - Director of Development

Dog rescue is expensive, and it's Sharon's job to find funding from a variety of sources. From Events and Corporate Partnerships to Online Auctions and Grant Writing, Sharon leaves no stone unturned. She developed a passion for Labs while working as a puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence and is the proud mom of Lenny, a CCI release dog, and Sheldon, a brown dog who likes to take orphaned puppies under his wing.
